We offer:
An exciting project in the field of translational, regenerative medicine and stem cell research. The focus here is on investigations into the influence of mesenchymal stem cells on the regenerative capacity of the lacrimal gland in vitro and in vivo. A key component of the project is working with murine, porcine and human mesenchymal stem cells from different tissue types. The methodology used is primarily cell culture-based methods (e.g. creation of organoids), histological and immunohistological procedures, detection methods at the RNA (qrtPCR) and protein level (WesternBlot, FACS), animal experiments and electron microscopic procedures.

Required are:
The prerequisites for employment are a completed university degree (diploma (university)/master’s) with a scientific focus (biology, biomedicine, life science or similar). Your research interest should lie in regenerative, translational medicine. The willingness to learn animal experimentation techniques is a prerequisite. You should be able to work in a team and be highly motivated and determined to establish your own research. Good English skills are expected, as well as a high level of teamwork and communication skills.

Desirable are:
In addition to good German language skills, experience in animal experiments, including a FELASA certificate (or comparable qualification), as well as experience in cell culture, molecular biological techniques and/or immunohistochemical analyses are desirable. Furthermore, experience in planning, conducting and evaluating scientific studies, as well as preparing scientific presentations and publications is an advantage. As is a high degree of independence, flexibility and willingness to work in an interdisciplinary manner.
