The Paul Martini Foundation is announcing the Paul Martini Prize internationally for 2025. It is endowed with EUR 50,000.
The prize honors scientists for their work in clinical pharmacology. These include, for example, outstanding research achievements in the development of new drug applications, the identification of new drug targets and the optimization of therapy regimens; This also includes the development and application of clinical pharmacological methods for assessing therapeutic measures as well as therapy studies and their socio-economic aspects. The selection takes particular account of work that already contains results for use in humans.
Closing date for entries is Monday, December 9, 2024
A jury of six well-known scientists chaired by Prof. Dr. Stefan Endres, Ludwig Maximilian University of Munich, decides on the awarding of this award. The Paul Martini Prize will be awarded at the annual meeting of the German Society for Internal Medicine on May 5, 2025 in Wiesbaden.
The prize was donated in memory of the scientist and doctor Professor Paul Martini (Bonn), in recognition of his special contributions to the promotion and further development of clinical therapeutic research, which he played a key role in for decades with his ‘Methodology of Therapeutic Investigation’, published in 1932 has shaped.
The publications to be submitted (a maximum of four) should be self-contained and either published within the current or the last two years or in press (with journal details). The submitting applicant must be the first author, equal second author or senior author of the submitted work(s). The written consent of the non-submitting first author, equal second author or senior author of the work(s) must be enclosed.
Applications from Paul Martini Prize winners from previous years cannot be considered
The following information must be enclosed with the application:
- Cover letter with address, title of the application and titles of up to four publications to be submitted
- Short summary of the publications
- Publications to be submitted
- Short CV of the applicant (with professional position and activity, please no photo)
- List of publications for the current and last five years (with the applicant marked in Bold)
