Exemption scholarship

Exemption scholarship

With its exemption scholarship, the German Liver Foundation supports the initiation and planning of clinical studies or clinical projects (e.g. IITs, analysis plans of cohort studies, etc.) in the field of hepatology.

The scholarship is intended to be used to finance the release of doctors for a maximum of three months for project or study planning. Ideally, this planning should take place in collaboration with established study units/structures.

The scholarship covers the reimbursement of a doctor’s personnel costs for up to three months. A scholarship holder is supported with a maximum of 25,000 euros. An exemption scholarship will be offered for 2025. The scholarship is not transferable. It must be used by the applicant for the project specified in the application.

You can apply for the exemption scholarship from the German Liver Foundation. The scholarship applications are examined by an independent review committee. Its members are: Prof. Dr. Marie-Luise Berres, Aachen; Priv. Doc. Dr. Dr. Peter Dietrich, Erlangen; Priv. Doc. Dr. Ursula Ehmer, Munich.

Applications are due by October 1, 2024 possible. You can find the advertisement and the application form here. The scholarship recipient will be announced at the 41st annual meeting of the GASL in Munich (early 2025).
